Tellus Viva was an early supporter of OXFAM´s Enterprise Development Programme. Believing in the potential of social business to fight poverty we started with a project on the West Bank in Palestine to support olive cooperatives to gain organic and Fair Trade certification. TV became a long-standing donor of the Tanzania Agricultural Scale-up Programme, a partnership with smallholder farmers to harness sisal and generate sustainable income. In the next project we worked with a social business, Pokhara Women Skill Development in Nepal, to improve the socio-economic condition for women through handicrafts. We are currently supporting a project in Rwanda with farmers growing organic pineapples and running a factory processing various products.
