Karuna
Tellus Viva decided to sharpen its focus on women and girls rights. In many countries their access to justice and legal protection is severely compromised. Through the Karuna we support a network of lawyers, paralegals and activists working on access to legal aid on issues of violence against women in various states in India. More importantly we support their high-level advocacy work through important precedent-setting litigation and training of paralegals, whether they are social workers or volunteers. Working through the legal system and in advocacy is a new dimension for TV, but we realize these initiatives are crucial to create real changes in society.
