Christian Aid is the official relief and development agency of christian churches in the UK and Ireland, and works to support sustainable development, eradicate poverty, support civil society and provide disaster relief.
The Eco-Veg project provides training in organic farming techniques and business skills. It supports a market for organic produce, linking marginalized farmers, particularly women and Dalits, with ”Agripreneurs”, community members trained to provide technical advice on sustainable agriculture.
Its multifaceted approach of coordinating production, distribution and sales, through applications of technology, has dramatically increased the project´s impact.
