Biovision
The Swiss Charity was founded by Hans Rudolf Herren, a leading scientist in biological pest control. He is a recipient of the World Food Prize and received the Right Livelihood Award in 2013. Biovision’s mission is to promote livelihood, nutrition and food security through ecological sustainable agricultural practices. In 2013 we started supporting their beekeeping programme in Tolay, Ethiopia. From 2018 we helpedto fund a training center in Marogoro, Tanzania, where agro-ecology courses are taught. The wide raims of this project is to reduce poverty in the region, improve food security and enhance the economic cooperation between farmers and pastoralists to defuse the land-use conflict.
